Women in Law

The 2020 National Profile of Solicitors show numbers have grown by 45 per cent since 2011 and that women were responsible for 67 per cent of the increase. After nursing and teaching, the law is now one of the more “feminine” professions. It is believed women are becoming increasingly interested in practicing law because it is a rewarding job that is about helping people and solving problems.

On 28 December 2013, Mr Gassan Al Kammessy was walking with his young daughter in Westfield Shopping Centre, Liverpool. He was injured when he slipped and fell on a wet patch on the floor in a public area of the Centre. The accident was captured on CCTV footage, and occurred at 10:44 am.
