On Wednesday, Team Marsdens attended the Urban Development Institute of Australia (UDIA) South West Luncheon of 2021 at Campbelltown Golf Club.
At this luncheon, they discussed the planning assessment and approval challenges facing South Western Sydney.
Our team heard from Marcus Ray, Group Deputy Secretary Planning and Assessment from the Department of Planning, Industry and Environment, who provided an update on recent improvements to the planning assessment and approval system that aims to support economic development and provide the community with housing and the key infrastructure needed for people to live in South West Sydney.
Following Marcus’ presentation, he joined a panel discussion with Jim Baldwin, Director City Development from Campbelltown City Council and Paul Hourigan, Chief Operating Officer from BHL Group where they discussed broader planning and development issues.
It was certainly a very informative lunch!
