Rahul Lachman is a Partner in the Marsdens Commercial Department and an Accredited Specialist in Business Law, advising businesses, organisations and commercial enterprises across a broad range of corporate and commercial matters.
With experience acting for local and international companies of all sizes, local Councils, not-for-profit organisations and other commercial enterprises, Rahul provides practical legal advice focused on helping clients understand their options, manage risk and achieve their commercial objectives.
Rahul brings a commercially focused approach to every matter, with an emphasis on clear advice, practical solutions and understanding the bigger picture behind each client’s legal needs.
Business Law and Commercial Expertise
Rahul practises across all areas of Business and Commercial Law, advising clients on both transactional matters and ongoing commercial issues.
His experience includes business contracts and commercial arrangements, business establishment and restructures, asset protection advice and implementation, mergers and acquisitions, commercial securities and financing, competition and consumer law, corporations law, franchising, insolvency and intellectual property.
Whether negotiating an important commercial agreement, restructuring a business, managing risk or navigating a complex transaction, Rahul works closely with clients to understand what they are trying to achieve and provides advice that is practical, commercially sensible and designed to help them move forward.

As an Accredited Specialist in Business Law, Rahul has demonstrated a high level of expertise and experience in his field. Alongside Justin Thornton, Marsdens has two of the only Accredited Specialists in Business Law in the Macarthur Region.
Leadership, Business and Community
Rahul’s involvement extends beyond his legal practice, giving him a strong connection with local businesses, not-for-profit organisations and sporting communities.
He currently serves as a director of the Macarthur Football Association and has done so for over ten (10) years.
Rahul is also a former Board member of both the Liverpool Chamber of Commerce and the Campbelltown Chamber of Commerce. He also assists numerous local charities with fundraising and general involvement in helping out the local community.
These experiences have provided Rahul with a first-hand understanding of the opportunities and challenges faced by local businesses and business owners, complementing his legal expertise with a broader commercial perspective.
Outside of work, Rahul enjoys football, motor racing and spending time with his family.
