Jean is a Partner in the Family Law team at Marsdens’ Liverpool office and a NSW Law Society Accredited Specialist in Family Law.
Jean commenced with Marsdens Law Group in 2007 and focuses predominantly on Family Law. She was admitted as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of New South Wales in 2006 and holds a Bachelor of Legal and Justice Studies, majoring in Social Studies, as well as a Bachelor of Laws.
With extensive experience in family law, Jean brings specialist knowledge, practical insight and a compassionate approach to helping clients navigate complex and often challenging family law matters.

Jean has extensive knowledge and experience in dealing with complex property and parenting matters.
Her experience includes matters involving de facto relationships, same-sex couples, child support, spousal maintenance and Binding Financial Agreements.

She takes the time to understand each client’s individual circumstances and works to provide practical advice and support throughout the legal process.

For suitable matters, Jean will seek to negotiate a settlement as an initial step, with the aim of achieving an outcome without the time, expense and stress that can be associated with Court proceedings.
However, Jean understands that Court proceedings are sometimes necessary. In these circumstances, she is an experienced and confident advocate for her clients.
Jean has experience representing clients before the Local Court, Federal Circuit Court and Family Court and is committed to advocating strongly for her clients when litigation is required.

Jean is actively involved in supporting the local community and providing access to legal advice and assistance.
She is involved with organisations including the Liverpool Women's Health Centre and the Liverpool Women’s Shelter, where she provides free legal advice.
