Adam Seton | Partner | Accredited Specialist - Local Government & Planning

Adam is the Partner leading the Local Government, Planning and Environmental Law Section at Marsdens Law Group. He joined Marsdens in 1985 and became a Partner in 1995. In addition to legal qualifications, Adam holds a Bachelor of Economics.

 

Adam represents over 60 local councils and has also acted for many property developers, community groups, and other private clients. He has appeared as an advocate in more than 1,000 cases in the Land and Environment Court, as well as in the Administrative Decisions Tribunal, the ICAC, the NSW Court of Appeal, and Commissions of Inquiry.

An Accredited Specialist in Local Government and Planning Law, Adam has been a member of the NSW Law Society Advisory Committee for Specialist Accreditation in this field since its inception in 1998. He is listed as a preeminent Planning & Development Lawyer in NSW by the Doyles Guide.

Adam is currently the chairperson of the Inner West Council Local Planning Panel and has previously chaired several other Local Planning Panels and served as a member of a Regional Planning Panel. He is also the Deputy Chair of the Kids of Macarthur Health Foundation Ltd.

Adam is married with three children.
