Kimberly has been with us since 2007 and is an Accredited Specialist in Family Law. She is an expert in her field and is a Lecturer in Family Law at Western Sydney University.
Kimberly is also a Senior Associate solicitor running our Liverpool Family Law team. With a keen interest in social justice and family dynamics, it was a natural progression for Kimberly to follow her passion and practice Family Law.
Whilst completing her first degree in Policing sub-majoring in Criminology, Kimberly was trained by some of the most respected academics and detectives in the country. In doing so, she gained skills that give her an edge as a Family Lawyer including: analytical and problem solving skills, an excellent technical knowledge of the law surrounding evidence and a detailed understanding of child protection issues.
With this skill set and innovative drive, Kimberly subsequently obtained her Law degree and has been working exclusively at Marsdens in Family Law since 2007.
Kimberly understands that going through a divorce is one of the most distressing events a person can experience with a massive sense of loss ranging from: the structure of the family, the family home, and of course, the loss of a partner. It is for this reason that Kimberly has a strong focus on achieving negotiated settlements and believes that keeping a matter out of Court is often the best outcome for her clients.
Kimberly aims to avoid:
However, there are times when a matter can not be settled by negotiation, and it requires Kimberly to use her extensive Court experience to personally represent her client’s in Court. Kimberly is also regularly engaged to MC large business and charity events where she is able to use her exceptional public speaking skills, that she has developed through years of advocacy. Kimberly acts in a wide range of matters ranging from simple property divisions, to more complex parenting and financial matters for high net worth clients.
Kimberly’s clients admire her attention to detail, her attentive nature, her honest approach to her work and her commitment to her clients by making them feel involved, valued and a part of the process from start to finish.
