Karan is a Solicitor practising in our Commercial Law Department, based in our Campbelltown office and works alongside Partners Justin Thornton and Rahul Lachman across all areas of Commercial and Business Law. 

Karan graduated from Western Sydney University in 2016 with a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Business and Commerce. He holds a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the College of Law and was admitted as a solicitor in the NSW Supreme Court in 2017. 

Karan has previously worked in other areas of law, including Personal Injury and Negligence, Family, Immigration, Criminal and Property.

Since joining Marsdens in 2018, Karan has worked on various commercial and business law matters for both government and non-government clients, including providing high-level reviews and advices on all kinds of contracts and other documents, preparing and negotiating various agreements and other legal documents to achieve certain effects, helping clients understand their legal obligations and rights as individuals and as other entity’s and reduce their risks. He has also represented Councils across NSW, particularly in relation to the NSW Container Deposit Scheme and the NSW EPA Revocation of MWOO in which he advised Councils on their obligations and the impacts these issues imposed and negotiated to ultimately reduce the negative effect of these impacts, in accordance with existing contracts and new laws.    

Karan is a member of the NSW Law Society and is involved in coaching and mentoring programs through the Bankstown Bruins and Western Sydney University Sport. He also attends local community events and is always looking for new groups to get involved with.  

Outside of work, Karan enjoys spending time with family and friends, sports and esports, travelling and reading about the latest scientific, medical and technological innovations.
