Carla-Jayden (“CJ”) is a Solicitor practicing in the Commercial Law Department at our Campbelltown office, working alongside Partners Justin Thornton and Rahul Lachman in all areas of Commercial law. She was admitted as a Solicitor by the Supreme Court of NSW in 2003, having achieved a combined degree (Bachelor of Arts (Communications) / Bachelor of Laws) from the University of Western Sydney, Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from The College of Law, and Certificate of Practice Management from the NSW Law Society. CJ is a member of the NSW Law Society, and is also on the Register of Practitioners of the High Court of Australia. Despite the challenges endured by all of us during the Pandemic, CJ also successfully completed an Executive Masters of Business from the University of Technology Sydney, whilst working full-time and home-schooling two children.
Prior to joining Marsdens, CJ gained invaluable exposure to a number of areas of law including Property, Commercial, State Government, Health Privacy, Insolvency and Sports. She believes lawyers are trained to solve problems regardless of their complexity, using legal precedents and multiple strategies to find the best solution for their clients.
Having spent some time abroad, she dabbles in several languages including Arabic, German and (currently learning) Spanish. CJ has an art for writing and thrives in a fast-paced environment. With a love for sports, health, and child education and safety, CJ is keen to assume a board position for organisations dedicated to these fields.
When CJ is not working, you’ll find her attending her kid’s sports, working in the garden, learning something (language, piano), or enjoying a little down-time with a book. She loves training at the gym, running, catching up with friends, and spending time with her family (especially at the beach).
