Marsdens x UOW Liverpool: Family Law Moot Court Debut

On Wednesday, our Family Law team of Vincent Chong and Matthew Mangiapane had the privilege of facilitating the inaugural UOW Liverpool Family Law Moot Court Competition.

The competition challenged participating law students with a curly question on add-backs and even the thorny issue of companion animals in family law proceedings. Despite facing complex legal questions—and some rather difficult judges—the competitors displayed impressive composure and advocacy skills.

Vincent and Matthew joined esteemed judges John Littrich and Mark Saunders to oversee the competition and the heated grand final.

🌟 Congratulations to the winners, Jarrod Dominish and Michael Cross, who edged out the strong competition with an excellent final performance. Semi-finalists Piet Clayden and Arne Castles also deserve high praise for their outstanding efforts.

Marsdens would like to extend a special thanks to Niamh Kinchin, John Littrich, Mark Saunders, and the dedicated UOW Liverpool student committee for helping us organise this exciting event.

We’re proud to have collaborated with the University of Wollongong on this initiative and look forward to making the UOW x Marsdens Family Law Moot an annual tradition.
