Jim Marsden and Roland Blackstone in the Macarthur ‘power list’ 2026

Jim Marsden and Roland Blackstone have been named by the Daily Telegraph as part of the 21 most influential people shaping the Macarthur region.

The ‘power list’ recognises various individuals, like scientists, sports stars, politicians, and philanthropists - a concoction of passionate locals committed to shaping their community’s future.

Jim Marsden was described by the Daily Telegraph as a local man with a ‘decorated 51-year career in property and commercial law’, outlining his various achievements like being awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia in 2013, becoming a life member of the NSW Law Society, and winning the NSW Law Society’s Pro Bono Lawyer of the Year in 2012.

These achievements outline Jim’s dedication to the community in supporting access to justice for vulnerable community members, as well as his work in modernising conveyancing law.

The Daily Telegraph outline his various community involvements, such as being the Campbelltown Chamber of Commerce President, Odyssey House McGrath Foundation Director, and Chairman of the Western Suburbs Magpies Rugby League Club.
