Empowering Women Through Knowledge: Our Free Information Session
Our “Take Control of Your Future” Women’s Information Session was a wonderful success, with a fantastic turnout of women eager to learn, connect, and take charge of their legal wellbeing.
Over morning tea, our experienced female lawyers Arti Deo, Helen Jabbour, Bethany Kickert and Jean Alim, shared practical insights on Family Law, Property Law, and Estate Planning — helping attendees better understand their rights and options when it comes to relationships, finances, and planning ahead.
Arti's presentation was a “Separation-A First Aid Kit”. She spoke about the do’s and don'ts of going through the breakdown of a relationship and how to navigate that, and to always get legal advice about your specific circumstances.
Bethany gave an overview of what a Will is, why they are important to get done and review regularly, and when to update them. She also spoke about some common questions misconceptions, such as 'I'm too young, I don't need a Will', or 'If I pass away, my partner/kids will get everything anyway.'
The feedback was overwhelmingly positive, with many attendees saying they left feeling more confident, informed, and empowered to make decisions about their futures.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the session such a supportive and engaging space. It was inspiring to see so many women investing in themselves and their futures.
