Adam is the Partner in charge of Marsdens Law Group’s Local Government, Planning and Environmental Law Section. He has been with Marsdens since 1986 and became a Partner in 1995. In addition to legal qualifications, Adam holds the degree of Bachelor of Economics.

Adam's clients include more than 50 Local Councils as well as a large number of private property developers, community groups and other private clients. He has appeared as an advocate in more than 700 cases in the Land and Environment Court on behalf of Councils and other private clients. His experience also includes appearing in the Administrative Decisions Tribunal, the ICAC, the NSW Court of Appeal and in Commissions of Inquiry.

Adam is an Accredited Specialist in Local Government and Planning Law and has been a member of the NSW Law Society Advisory Committee for Specialist Accreditation in Local Government and Planning Law since its inception in 1998.

In 2021, 2022 and 2023, Adam was listed as one of the three preeminent Planning & Development Lawyers in NSW in the Doyles Guide which is a well known independent organisation that rates and recommends lawyers based on interviews with clients, peers, and relevant industry bodies. 

Adam was the chairperson of a Local Planning Panel and IHAP for many years as well as an alternate member of a Joint Regional Planning Panel.

Adam is married and has three children.
