Jeff Tunks
Jeff is the Partner in Charge of our Criminal Law Department and brings to this role over 20 years experience in the criminal justice system. He is a Criminal Law Accredited Specialist.
Before joining Marsdens, Jeff was the Deputy Director of Legal Services for the NSW Police Force and responsible for representing the Commissioner of Police in various Courts and Tribunals across NSW. Jeff was a Police Prosecutor for 12 years and has prosecuted literally thousands of cases on behalf of NSW Police and other government sector agencies.
Jeff comes to our firm with a demonstrated ability as an investigator, prosecutor and advocate. Whilst at Marsdens, Jeff has conducted a number of criminal jury trials as Solicitor Advocate and appears in the District and Local Courts on a daily basis, appearing as in-house counsel in the District and Supreme Courts.
Jeff also appears on a regular basis in the Independent Commission Against Corruption, the Police Integrity Commission and various Coronial Inquests.
