Corporate Clash In Macarthur

The Corporate Clash in Macarthur is a corporate charity boxing match that includes over 16 local businessmen and women from the Macarthur area that have little or no boxing experience that push their physical and mental stamina. All fighters undergo 10 weeks of training at the Grange High Performance Gym lead by trainer Anthony Redward to hone their boxing skills, ironically, all for The Cure Brain Cancer Foundation.

The Corporate Clash in the Cube is the brain child of Camden Hire’s, Mark Scarce and Marsdens Law Group’s, Grant Butterfield, both of whom have participated in past years.

The Cure Brain Cancer Foundation and our local Camden Rotary have been the beneficiaries of over $300,000 since the first Clash in 2014.  The Corporate Clash in the Cube was sold out again with over 600 people attending in 2017.

Brain cancer kills more Australian children and adults under 40 than any other disease. It has a high mortality rate, and survival rates have remained regrettably low for more than 30 years, despite significant increases in survival for Australians diagnosed with other types of cancer, such as leukaemia and breast cancer. Treatment is challenging because it affects our most vital organ. Brain cancer costs more per patient than any other cancer, yet only receives a small fraction of cancer research funding.

Cure Brain Cancer Foundation is the largest dedicated fundraiser for brain cancer research in Australia. Partnering with the research community, they are steering the national agenda for brain cancer research. Their mission is to accelerate new treatments to brain cancer patients and increase five-year survival to 50% within 10 years.
