Adam Seton
Adam is the Partner in charge of our Local Government, Planning and Environmental Law Section. He has been with Marsdens since 1986 and became a Partner in 1995. In addition to legal qualifications, Adam holds the degree of Bachelor of Economics.
His clients include more than 40 Local Councils as well as a large number of private property developers and other private clients. He regularly appears as an advocate in the Land and Environment Court to conduct cases on behalf of Councils and other private clients. His experience also includes appearing as an advocate in the Administrative Decisions Tribunal, NSW Court of Appeal and in Commissions of Inquiry.
Adam is an Accredited Specialist in Local Government and Planning Law and has been a member of the NSW Law Society Advisory Committee for Specialist Accreditation in Local Government and Planning Law since its inception in 1998.
He is presently a chairperson of the Independent Hearing and Assessment Panel at Sutherland Shire Council and an alternate member of the Joint Regional Planning Panel for Sutherland Council.
Adam is also presently a Director of the Kids of Macarthur Health Foundation Ltd.
Adam is married and has three children.
